Our Intermediate Footballers were defeated in the County Final last Saturday by a talented and well organised Fermoy outfit. The lads battled throughout the game but Fermoy were always a step ahead and ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-09. Our lads deserve huge credit for getting to the final and giving a great account of themselves and our club over the course of the two games. Thanks to the players and the management for the great effort they put in over the past year and for the enjoyment that they brought to everyone in the community. Thanks also to all of the supporters and businesses in the area who showed their support for the lads in the run up to the final.

It's disappointing to come so far and to lose at the final hurdle but there were enough signs through the past year to suggest that future success isn't too far away. This is a very exciting time for our club off the field, which we hope will lead to future success on the field. Our new sand-based pitch across the road is now up and running and we hope to begin construction of new dressing rooms within the next six months.
